Our growing community of changemakers

Lucent is delighted to announce that our community of changemaking organisations is growing.

Straddling the social, science and philanthropic sectors, we are delighted to be working with new clients to help them renew their focus, translate their bold ambitions into achievable plans and to ensure that their work has a positive impact on the world around them.

Here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been up to:

Church Urban Fund

The Church Urban Fund works through local parish networks, and alongside other faith-based and secular organisations, to bring about positive change in neighbourhoods. It has partnerships covering the length and breadth of England, and an opportunity to address the issues of greatest need in local communities.

We have been working with the Church Urban Fund to reconnect with its founding principles and purpose, establish a fresh vision for the future matched with realistic plans for development that create a sense of excitement and momentum.

Wellcome Trust

When Sir Henry Wellcome died in 1936, his will established a charity for "the advancement of medical and scientific research to improve mankind's wellbeing." Steeped in tradition, the Wellcome Trust is now at the forefront of campaigning for better science, tackling big health challenges, and ensuring that everyone can get involved with science and health research.

We are working with the Trust’s Diversity and Inclusion and Education and Learning teams to  help develop: a clear strategy with strong links to Wellcome’s overall purpose; an agreed way of prioritising among the many competing claims on their time; and work practices that are fit for the future.
